I'd also suggest backing up the site, and installing it here to play with changes. If this is just a test bunker, nobody will care if it gets frequently wiped and reinstalled.

Yeah, I should have been messing around the settings here instead of there. But at the same time, the only thing I changed was a setting in the global panel anyways so it shouldn't have been able to break the site;(

Not sure at what point am I blocking referrers from being read. I disabled firewall and strict filters from the proxy server and no luck. I think the global settings are inside the database itself so I am backing that up now and going off. Don't want to mess around with the database without a backup when I have no idea what I am doing^^ ; was hoping for reply from Tom  before I went off but no luck.
